OZA was founded by A. Gordon Shaw, CEO/President. Gordon is a practicing

natural scientist, member of the Society of Explosive Engineers and a multitude

of other features comprise his CV. OZA is a highly matrixes and diverse

corporation with interests in several areas. Mr. Shaw pioneered the development

in areas of noise, vibrations and air quality. OZA is continuously developing and

authoring bylaws and specifications that are adopted by governments at several

levels throughout North America.

Miss. Novakova serves in the position of Executive / Vice President, and she has

been in the managerial position for the company for eleven years. Ms. Novakova

serves as the Vice President of the company and is responsible for corporate

decisions and reports only to the Board of Directors. She directs the day-to-day

management of the company and she is responsible for the goals and policies

and makes all executive decisions for the company.

David started his career in loss control consulting back in 1980’s. With almost three

decades of experience in noise and vibration assessment and control for civil

construction and mining industries, he brings extensive practical expertise to his role,

providing our clients the knowledgeable service they have come to expect. He began his

OZA career working as a field vibration technician, gaining valuable experience in

construction vibration measurement, and thereafter conducting thousands of pre and

post construction structure surveys before serving in a management capacity. While

fulfilling his leadership responsibilities, David continues to provide direct consulting

services towards developing procedures, specifications and monitoring programs,

conducting assessments and providing expert testimony relevant to the protection of

property adjacent to construction and mining sites. He has extensive experience both in

field and management roles for many key projects. Affiliations include but are not

limited to: International Society of Explosives Engineers, Deep Foundations Institute and

several construction associations.

 

Michael GREEN (Vice President)

Mr. Green’s strong work ethics, attention to detail and exceptional problem

solving abilities have led him to many roles with OZA’s team since 2006. His

extensive background and experience in customer sales and customer relations

has contributed to his advancement. Mr. Green began his career with OZA

providing monitoring services as a vibration technician and quickly became an

important part of the condition survey services division thereafter, learning

firsthand the valuable loss control services that OZA provides to the construction

industry. His superb organization skills and commitment to excellence make him

an invaluable asset to our management team, leading to his appointment to the

Vice President position in 2011. Mr. Green regularly carries out site reviews even

for small projects, with his hands on approach ensuring the best protection for

our many valuable clients.

Joanne has over 30 years of experience conducting pre and post condition

survey`s for all types of heavy construction. Her vast knowledge and expertise

with all types of structure survey`s make her a valuable part of OZA`s team.
